do you see my vision?!™
ONE OF ONE.
Howard University Homecoming Fashion Show 2025.
After officially joining Models of the Mecca, Incorporated—a creative organization on Howard University’s campus—I felt called to push beyond the editing style I had grown comfortable with. Photographing this fashion show became an exercise in creating purely for myself: a space to experiment, play, and take visual risks. I leaned into heightened contrast, grittier textures, and bolder color choices, embracing an aesthetic that felt raw, expressive, and liberating.
To me, this project represented the beginning of my journey into discovering what my style could be outside of the expectations that were set for me. I wasn’t concerned with how the images would perform on social media or whether they would be widely liked. I was having fun, trusting my instincts, and creating with intention. That is what mattered the most.
